From May, 2009 Cultural Centre "Nicolae Balcescu" becomed the official partner of ART & HERITAGE ASSOCIATION.

Cultural Centre “Nicolae Balcescu” is functioning under the auspices of the Law nr.2193/ 2004, concerning the organisation of cultural establishments, Ratified by Ministry of Culture, Religious Affairs and National Heritage. Its purpose is to initiate and develop cultural projects concerning permanent education and traditional culture.

The objectives of the Cultural Centre “Nicolae Balcescu” are:

·       to elaborate projects on permanent education

·       to preserve and transmit moral, artistic and technical values to future generations

·       to preserve and promote national cultural heritage values  as well as cultural heritage values of humanity

·       to preserve local (regional) cultural identity

·       to encourage creativity and talent of youngsters

·       to promote traditional crafts and to encourage craftsmen activities

·       to encourage traditional values of the region such as traditional music, choreography, theatre

·       to encourage cultural exchanges on local, regional, national and international level.

The attributions the Cultural Centre “Nicolae Balcescu” are:

·       to educate through artistic and scientific programmes.

·       to promote the young artists and researchers and their continuous education

·       to publish studies, materials and documents regarding educational activities

·       to enrich the heritage of the institution through donation and acquisitions

·       to do the accreditation of professional bands and folkloric groups.
